Hi all:
Now that I've been told how to do this email thing ...

I have an HP JetDirect 170x. It's a little box that sits on a LAN, 
connected by an RJ45 plug and Cat 5  cable to the LAN; and to the 
parallel port of your favorite HP printer. It's a print server -  you 
don't need to have a computer powered on to act as the server.
Software is available free from HP.
But it only works with HP printers, not, for example, with my Brother 
Laser Printer.
I can bring it to the next meeting if anyone wants it (and the weather 
allows me to attend!)
